National Blindness Professional Certification Board

Thank you for your interest in the National Orientation and Mobility Certification (NOMC) offered by the National Blindness Professional Certification Board (NBPCB). Currently, the NBPCB offers two certifications, the National Orientation and Mobility Certification (NOMC) and the National Certification in Literary Braille (NCLB). The following links provide detailed information about the NOMC certification process, scope of practice for mobility instructors, criteria for eligibility, application procedures, and information about sitting for the written and performance-based examinations.
